There was National Chocolate Cupcake day on 10/18/12
#thisfatgirlsdream

Ok so technically I arrived in Boston last night (approx 24 hrs ago) and just received a phone call telling me that work is cancelled tomorrow because of the impeding storm that is about to arrive... yay for East Coast and their crazy storms and power lines above ground ;) #sandyrocks Anyway drive was a success: $42 in tolls, 2 tanks of gasoline, 3 bottles of water, 1 bottle of DP, 1/2 bag of M&M's, 3 jolly ranchers, and a milky way later I made it from DC to Boston! I still cant believe I am here, staying with a friend that also just moved up here while I am still in search of a place to live, I have a few prospects but want to make the best choice.... eeeek

First ride up the escalator... heading into Boston!!

Downtown Boston, this is the Opera house and Paramount theater... Awesome amazing old city ;)

Hard to see but some buses run on wires above the streets...
seriously thought this was so cool I almost got in a accident to
take this picture lol

Beautiful shot of the city and the Charles river

I am starting a new job with in home Hospice, basically the same thing just different location... I will see how this goes and then reevaluate in a few months to see how I feel about things... Leaving DC was tough, crocodile tears hit once I hit 95 out of Maryland and continued til Baltimore (approx 35 min) #uglycrier but I am really ok, just always sad to close one chapter in life and begin writing a new one.  This morning we (Tiffany and I) went to a new members church brunch for all the new folks to Boston and then to church for stake conference. I met lots of new faces and friendly people, I am sure they will be good to me, but not quite as good as my DC folk were to me... but that's neither here nor there, what's important is that there is potential in the hospitality of the folks here lol

Holding back the tears on my last page of the DC Chapter

Last second shot of one of my favorite buildings in DC area
the LDS temple right off of 495, so breathtaking!

I safely took pics of all the states I drove through, almost
all taken at approx 75 miles/hr.... dont worry I made it here
safely already ;) Still I know it wasn't smart....

As mentioned I am still homeless but Tiffany is being very generous and kind to me so while my car is chucked full of crap she is driving me around and looking at places with me... so nice! I have 2 places to go check out this evening, finding a place is much like dating: 1-you find the contact and show your interest 2-you send out the message and try to make things enticing for them to message you back *very important to sound interesting, interested, and desirable all at the same time but to never sound desperate 3-wait for response back 4-recieving response with grace and to not get too worked up and excited about being asked to come see the place *important here not to invest too much emotion into it because you know there are 8 others who are interested in the spot 5-set up a time that works to meet up, being flexible is very important at this point 6-picking out a responsible yet laid back outfit to meet the potential roommates because you don't want to look like a slob but also you don't want to look too uptight and boring 7-The Meeting. Must be a few minutes early, call them when you arrive, and go in looking confident 8-discussing house rules, move in dates, etc is important things that have already been discussed but it is still important to re-hash it all out so that you seem very interested and focused on the spot 9-set up a time table of when you will hear back from them 10-repeat step #3 11-start the search again because some other skank hoe beat you out for the spot... #craigslistregular Anyway I am hoping after this evening I don't have to do #11 again... pray for me!!

Let's see what else has been going on.... I worked in Warrenton Va for the past 3 weeks being a nurse manager and loved every minute of it! It was tough and I felt bad every time something came up and I had to have a nurse go do something because it's very fresh in my memory, but being a manager opened my eyes to the necessity of it, but I did it with a heart of graciousness and kindness lol Anyway it was an awesome experience, and if wanted I believe I could go back and do it full time... time will tell what I need to do though.

Heading to work, I love professional wear sometimes ;) lol

My little office, not the monster wreath on the door,
