GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR this is what I get for trying to blog throughout the day of traveling with poor internet connection..... one false move and poof ENTIRE post has disappeared again, seriously I am already the worst blogger known to man kind and then when I do attempt to blog I lose it and want to just give up, however I can't just stop because this is the best way to keep everyone up to date with things and lets be real, things are changing often!
Exactly how I feel after doing this post
3 times!!!!!!
Since last post I spent the rest of August hanging with friends and enjoying the District area;
First night back with the girls.... It only felt right,
don't worry we all had Papa's in the house ;)
This also occurred sometime in June, but how could I resist??
Josh Amanda Shara and I... we are so pretty
Us girls out to a Nats game, this was actually in June but I dont think
I ever posted it!!

Also never posted but from Hershey's amusement park
Simmandi, Rachel, Taylor, and I

Melissa (roommate in the summer who took over my room aka my twin since she is 5'10" and looks just like me, tons of people at church thought she was me, we also have the exact same curly hair except hers is a dirty blonde instead of red but she is the smart twin in Law school down in Naples, Fla) she needed an escape weekend so she came up and we toured some monuments at night and enjoyed some DC sites;
Melissa and Amanda

Amanda and I went out to Mt Vernon (George Washington's family mansion);

This year Oreo turned 100... I actually found out that the real creation
began in March which more than likely makes Oreo
a Pisces.... Just saying I knew there was a reason
we were so connected ;) The Birthday Cake filling
is seriously addicting and if you don't want to gain 5 lbs
then don't even go out and find some, but if you do then go to your nearest
market place and buy some STAT!!
Benton came down to visit us and we went to Blue Moon Cafe with famous Cap'n Crunch french toast;

Michael Layton a good friend of ours came down and visited for the week and we joined him for his big old man birthday dinner;
Amanda Mike and I for the old mans day

basically we had a really great time and enjoyed all we could, all while I attempted to get some work in and continue my search for work.
Amanda Jesse and I at Maggie Leaks
"Preppy back to school birthday party"
Yes we were ridiculous looking but we had a blast!

About 4 days after being home, we had an itch and a free flight voucher sooooo vuallahh we booked a flight to Cozumel to go for 6 days to dive and celebrate Dia de Indepedencia with our fellow Mexican friends ;) Amanda and I were the only ones who did this and I also tacked on a little extra trip out to Oklahoma City to go and see David Taylor in his new crib and practice (he moved in July and took over a 40 year old practice, he is still unsure about it but is giving it a good shot before he gives up on it ;))
****Side Note: a elderly lady just came up to me in the airport (at 6 am) and said, "you have a beautiful body, I just told my friend, dammit she stole my body!" Nothing like a good self esteem boost to start the day right, I will take any compliment even if its dished out by somebodies grandmother ;)
September 11th and a few days leading up to it this year I felt overwhelmed with a appreciation to this country and the people who serve in the armed forces. Since living here I have met all branches of military and have developed a deeper sense of patriotism and pride for the USA! There were flags hung down buildings, special tributes throughout the area, and I witnessed first hand a elderly lady stopping a soldier (he was in uniform) in the grocery store and giving him a hug to thank him. The air is so filled with politics cutting each other down and undermining the opposition and so it is easy to get distracted and caught up, but it's very important to always remember what happened to this country on that fateful day and continue to move forward. I honestly want to say a big thank you to all my dear friends who do their duty each and everyday for this country and sacrifice all that you do, Thank You.

****Side Note #2: While on my first flight from BWI to Chicago a song came on the music feed, it made me cry of course because I am a boob, but also because it was fresh on my mind after writing about 9/11 in the airport this am....
Its by Lori Mckenna, called Two Soldiers Coming Home
Mexico was a great trip for us girls, we felt like we had barely left the place, many of our friends were still in town, right where we left them ;) We spent our mornings scuba diving some of the most beautiful places de bajo del mar (under the sea), the afternoons at the beach, and our nights out with the friends, at bbqs and what ever other type of nonsense we could get into....

Late night = Pre dive nap ;)

Heading out to dive with Scuba Ricardo

Robert and Carson, 2 new friends from Colorado, Carson
is 10 and certified on this trip!

Amanda and I right before I flooded Taylors waterproof camera....
WOOOOOPS

We made some great new friends as well and got to spend some good time with Rebecca and Daniel! Our friends at Love cafe had open arms for us as usual, we felt so blessed to spend time with everyone and to use our Spanish which we had learned this summer ;)

I sadly had to leave a day early from the fun, and headed to OKC. On my last layover I got to give up my seat for a free seat voucher, 2 meals, and a overnight hotel stay... uh SIGN ME UP!! I love to do the vouchers and this was the second time this summer that I have had the chance to do this, soooo lucky!!

I got into OKC and Angie, David Taylors office manager picked me up and took me over to him at Deaconess hospital where he was doing surgeries that day. Since Taylor is so great, he got me to scrub in and go into the OR so I got to be in there for 2 of his cases! It was so cool to see all that he does and its shocking to see how bad little kids teeth can be at just 2 yrs old... He literally had to pull or cap all but 2 teeth on one little boy, it was crazy crazy and the mom/child ask for SILVER caps ;) ha ha

We spent the evening hanging and went to eat at the waterway in the middle of OKC. The people and town live and breath the OKC Thunder (NBA) and so many things are modeled around it, it's actually pretty cool.

Taylor lives right downtown in brand new apts, and folks he is a grown up now! The futon bed I slept on felt better than any bed I have rested my body on ALL SUMMER!! He says, "I am nice and I like nice things" lol he is a dork to the core, love him ;) We spent Saturday watching football and relaxing then found our selves moseying on over to the State Fair.... sooooo awesome! The people watching, the food, the oversized horses, the piglets, the accents, the mullets, the whole ambiance of a it was a full body take over....... we LOVED it!

We had dinner 2 nights with Taylors 1 friend in OKC, he is a dental student and he just got married, Steven and Emily. They are looking out for him at this time, his head is still spinning from all the action and the move and being out of town every other weekend to see Rachel, but overall I think the kid will be ok. I have made a lot of trips this summer to be to places up in Philly, Utah, Mexico... but I think the most important one was made that weekend to see Taylor. He won't admit it or complain ever but he has taken a big risk and done a very brave thing going out there so I am happy I got the chance to go join him and continue to be a part of his world ;)

Made it back to DC around 2 on Monday after taking a plane, shuttle, train, metro, and taxi..... all I needed was a water way to go across lol My focus for the day was to find housing since I have a position thats suppose to start 10/15 up in Boston!! However like always a curve ball came my way and Heartland offered me a managing position for up to 5 weeks if I wanted to go be full time until my next "stop"..... after thought, prayer, and consulting a few of my people I decided I would be crazy not to take the chance to do this and gain experience being in the office; so I am now in DC until the morning of 10/28, I will then drive up to Mass and move into a place (I still dont know where) and begin my new job on the 29th ;) Wahooooo
If you were wondering what I was doing in the airport this morning..... **FYI this blog has now had "saving" issue 3 times so it has taken me longer than I would have liked** it's because my Old sis Amanda had her baby on 10/27!! She gave birth to a 5 lb 14 oz 19.5 inches long skinny old face benjamin button looking angel.... John Lincoln Jensen is here kids ;) ;)

He is a sweet little spirit and all he wants to do is SLEEP, he whimpers but doesn't cry much yet, Gavin (3 yr old bro) doesn't quite know what to do about him most the time but says things like "I just wanna eat his feet" ha kids soak up everything we say. So I have created the perfect storm of surprises, Suprise #1: neither my sister or mama know I am on my way to visit; Surprise #2: I just talked my pops into taking a shuttle down to STG to surprise me sister; Surprise #3: It's my pops birthday today and HE doesn't know I am flying in either........ Oh I am a genius!!!!!! ha ha

I am excited to have all this family around, while I have spent the summer with my DC family and making new friends and family all around, there is something about Blood family. They say blood is THICKER than water, but I add to that saying blood is also STICKIER than water and sometimes that can be a blessing if you are having problems or on the flip side it can be a curse in your life lol But I love this group of people and am happy to
have the blessing and opportunity to see them!!

Here's a story of a Girl name KJ, she was the funniest
girl you've ever seen. Then one day this girl named
KJ, she met a girl who's name was Amanda,
and she had all the brains that one
might need. So one daaaay KJ and Amanda made Shara,
who is so pretty, be their friend with them instead
of 40 yr old men.
Then these girls became a Trifecta and will forever
and ever be as one ;)
