Soooooo I am a bit annoyed, I had the greatest post put together last week and was waiting for my internet connection to load up again and closed the page down on accident and lost all of the long very detailed and funny post.... ;( So honestly even though miss Tabbi lectures me about keeping up to date about my blog, I tried but have boycotted re-writing this post for a week now.... I can finally sit down and write this post without having anger in my heart, so here I go ;)
Finishing up in Mexico was a tough one for us, Amanda and I had felt so at home in Cozumel and had made such great friends that we didn't want to leave behind, after 6 weeks it felt like regular life.... well regular fantasy life, but still the routine felt so natural! I was lucky enough the final week to certify as a Open Water diver and can now go around diving and breathing under water like its no big deal... the thought of it still gives me anxiety, but the fact that on one of my final dives I was trying to touch the fish around me is a BIG DEAL (I have a very irrational fear of fish/sea life/things under water that I can't see and so me actually enjoying the marine life around me was all new). We were secretly hoping to get caught up by the tropical storm coming our way so that we couldn't leave the island on our departure date, but not so lucky.... We were blessed to get to fly right out of Cozumel, it was so much easier and relaxing that way! After 2 layovers we made it into SLC around 11 and my mama, Melinda Jo picked us up and our first US stop was Walmart ;) Ha we needed to grab a few necessities and Mama Jo needed to get ingredients to make some funeral potatoes for a actual funeral the next day...

Amanda and I spent a few days visiting friends, one of my best friends Kamany had her 2nd little baby on 8/7/12, sweet little baby Kholer so I got to go and visit him in the hospital... It was so interesting going to Riverton hospital, it's such a small town in my head but has grown sooo much it blows my mind a little bit! Shara came into town that Wednesday and it was a glorious time for our Trifecta to Unite at once ;) I got to have a BBQ with some of my family, (cousins in from Washington state), have sleepovers on the trampoline with the nieces and nephews, and go up to the wedding of the year in Logan Utah, Michael Teagle and Jennifer Jarrett officially tied the knot and have been sealed for time and all eternity!!! ;) Such an awesome and amazing couple, they have dated for 3.75 years which is equal to 30.75 years in Mormon life, they deserve all the best! The wedding was at the Logan LDS temple and it was a perfectly beautiful Friday, 8/10/12 (jens choice of wedding date) and the next day was the reception. They had a beautiful location complete with a photo booth hand made by Michael, a s'more bar to create your own, and a dance floor which showcased a cute daddy daughter dance, Jen's family dancing Nsync for her, and us girlfriends pulling Jen in to make a music video to a Beyonce mix I put together.... The couple ended the night heading out with confetti, cheers, and laughter, picture perfect ;) My Butt Buddy Vina was up for the wedding with me and we made the trek down to SLC to dance the night away with Amy.... too funny!

The next monday I had the chance to go Diving with my oldest brother John Travis and Amanda to the Crater which is a natural hot spring and crater in the hills of Midway, Ut. The average temperature is 96 degrees, I was seriously sweating and fogging my goggles up! It was so much fun to do a dive with my brother, he is a dive master and led us the whole way through. The rest of the week I spent time meeting up with friends and family, more s'mores and sleepovers with the little ones ;)

On that Friday morning I took the fancy St George shuttle down to St George to see my sister and old friends! I spent time at the lake and also took a trip down to Vegas and while out dancing we saw Jennifer Lopez ;) Most of my time in STG was nice and relaxing, that place is always nostalgic for me and I always miss the good 'ol days when I am there..... My last stop on my welcome back to the USA was down to Henderson, NV just a few miles out of Vegas, this is where my second oldest brother Chad and his wife Cassy live. This past May they had a little girl, which takes their children tally up to 2, the oldest is Josh who is 13 yrs old and now miss Temperance Faith is here! I met her and fell in LOVE, she is a happy and giggly baby at just 4 months old, I don't even get it, but she is such a doll ;)

Getting back home was strange for me, I took a red eye flight which always makes me feel loopy.... ha Halfway on my flight I went to the bathroom and the 3 male flight attendants in the back of the plane asked if I wanted to "hang out".... or at least thats what I thought they said, so I said "uh what, you want me to hangout....?" and one of them said, "sure you can hang out with us..... but also do you want anything else?" hmmmm ha ha maybe my ears were a bit clogged? Then the other one said, "would you like some vodka?" as I was about to say no thanks I dont drink, I asked him "what??" and he responded, "would you like some water?".... This is when I knew that I just needed to go back to my seat ha ha I felt so confused... The best part was that I forgot all about it until I was walking off the plane and 2 of them were in the front and wished me luck with the rest of my day, all while smiling and laughing to themselves. I had to go get my car which had oil issues and was towed to a car repair shop in Md and then had the ultimate treat that night at Shake Shack, our favorite burger joint in all of DC ;)
The rest of the week got me right back to the work and grind of things, I worked on call for the weekend and kept busy with that.... Today (Monday) is a absolute beautiful day and I have not been called to work yet so I am taking it as a blessing!
Now that I am updated with my blog and letting people know where I have been I will give a little sneak peak into the next month or so of my life....
I am working for Heartland (my same company) for the next few weeks on "as needed" bases and doing weekend on call, while doing this I am waiting for my Massachusetts licensing to go through so that I can do my first travel nursing assignment in Boston, Ma!! The assignment goes for 13 weeks and then I get to choose my next destination... this is if I like travel nursing, if not then I will be back to the drawing board!
Until next time, love Kj
